Alix/Lacombe Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP)
The Village of Alix and Lacombe County have entered into an Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP), which outlines a coordinated and cooperative framework to address planning issues on lands bordering both municipalities. Each municipality ensures that development within the municipalities does not negatively impact each other. The IDP attempts to protect environmentally significant areas, while still accommodating the demands of growing municipalities.
