Village Utilities
The Village of Alix provides the following Utilities
* Water
* Sewer
* Solid Waste
* Recycling
* Compost (seasonal May-November weather permitting - 6 bins are placed throughout the Village)
Utility Cost Breakdown per month (Residential):
-Basic Water Charge - Residential $37.50
-Basic Sewer Charge - Residential $26.25
-Garbage Collection - Residential $22.50
-Recycling - $5.93
** Basic charges for the month total $92.18
-Water Consumption Rate per cubic meter - $3.39
-Sewer Consumption Rate per cubic meter - $2.25
These rates are calculated on top of the basic rate charges, based on your consumption
Garbage and Recycling
Garbage is collected every Tuesday. Have your garbage totes out at the curb by 7:00 A.M. Garbage totes MUST be closed, overfilling your garbage tote can mean no pick up.
Recycling is every other Tuesday. Have your recycle bin out at the curb by 7:00 A.M.
The Village of Alix provides the collection of these services to properties within Village limits.
Payments can be made:
> Online banking with "Alix Village: Utilities" as payee
> E-transfer to (quote account number that you are paying)
> In person at the Village Office (No Credit)
> Mail a cheque to the Village Office
> Drop box by the front door of Village Office
If you are a new property owner in the Village, please fill out and print the attached form and mail it to the Office at at Box 87, Alix, AB, T0C 0B0. Alternately, you may email it to , fax to 403-747-3663 or drop off at the Office.
